Membership Counts
CSSP is Colorado's only professional organization devoted
to School Psychology.
Benefits
of Membership
The mission of CSSP is to strengthen
the effectiveness of school psychologists in addressing the
academic, social, and emotional needs of children and youth
in Colorado.
Membership Benefits: Members of CSSP become part of a state-wide
network of school psychologists in Colorado. CSSP supports
a variety of committees and activities designed to carry
out the organization’s purpose, including:
- A quality newsletter, distributed three times per year,
featuring articles of interest in the field of school
psychology, reviews of CSSP activities, and state and national
professional news;
- A user friendly website that changes weekly bringing
you the most current news and information;
- An annual fall conference, which brings together national
and local authorities on a variety of timely and interesting
professional topics, and provides opportunities to interact
with colleagues from across the state;
- Ongoing regional professional development and information
relevant to the daily practice of School Psychology (through
the Futures project);
- The Professional Ethics Committee, which provides in-depth
responses to issues raised by the membership, and monitors
ethical issues in education and psychology;

items, awards, and consultation to members);
- The Legislative Committee, which continually monitors
the Colorado legislature for issues relevant to the practice
of school psychology, informs the membership of national
and local legislative issues, and advocates for our profession
and the students/families we serve;
- As an affiliate of the National Association of School
Psychologists, CSSP coordinates its activities with those
of the national association. The NASP delegate maintains
communication between the two organizations, and makes
NASP resources available to CSSP and Colorado school psychologists;
- CSSP also maintains liaisons with the Colorado Dept of
Education (CDE), the International School Psychology
Association (ISPA), and the Colorado School Mental Health
Alliance, the Mental Health Sunset Coalition and the Colorado
Consortium of School Psychology Trainers;

eight other organizations, including CSSP. The collaborative
