The 2012 CSSP fall conference is scheduled for November 8-10 at the beautiful Park Hyatt hotel and resort in Beaver Creek. Registration details will be posted soon.

Proposal for paper and poster presentations are now being accepted: 2012 CSSP Call for Presentations
The submission deadline is June 1.

During the Regional Networking Reception at CSSP’s Fall Conference in Beaver Creek, attendees were asked to share intervention/assessment ideas. These were all gathered by region (to help you to track specific interventions/assessments down in the case that these may be shared within regions) to then share with members via website and newsletter. Congratulations to Janelle Bierdeman, the winner of the 2012 CSSP election for president-elect.

“I am excited and honored to represent CSSP as the 2012-2013 president elect and I would like thank our members for their votes of confidence! I look forward to partnering with you in increasing the relevance of our mission and supporting dynamic, creative leadership from school psychologists across our state”. Janelle Bierdeman

Final results indicate that a total of 63 members voted in the election: 62 for Janelle and 1 for a write-in candidate.

Back by Popular Demand: Upcoming Think:Kids Collaborative Problem-Solving Training

This approach is based upon the model described in the book, Treating Explosive Kids: The Collaborative Problem Solving Approach. Over the last eleven years, the model has been applied to children with a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges and in a wide range of settings: families, schools, and therapeutic facilities (including inpatient units, residential facilities, and juvenile detention facilities). The model has also been applied to “ordinary” kids as well as to adults.
